GENDER & PRONOUNS: Female, she, her
In human form, Zeva, aka Shadow, stands at 5’4 and 125 lbs. She’s rather curvy (and she knows it too) but solid with muscle from a lot of training in her down time. She has long, wavy, dark brown hair which is sometimes styled with braids for more efficiency when traveling, or if she feels like bothering with it. She hazel eyes that might look grey at times, but when enraged can glow to a bright red. Shadow rarely smiles but her fangs are near perfect.
Zeva is known to use a hatchet or small knife at close range as she wears them both on her belt, but she is well-known for being a deadshot. She is an expert with a bow, either a crossbow or her favored compound bow she carries. Her quiver often has specialized arrows for different types of attack.
In shifted form, Zeva stands at 5’2 at her front shoulder, with a beautiful white coat as any Black Spiral Dancer.
MARKINGS: Sometimes she uses black kohl as a stripe across her eyes if they’re running without shifting. There’s a cross scar over her left cheek from a fight with her sister and a couple of nicks over the right side of her top lip. Her body isn’t riddled with marks quite like the rest of the pack, as she still has scars. There is a rather large bite scar on her right leg and one on her left shoulder as well, and a blade trail over her right shoulder and down to her elbow.

MIRROR OF ERISED: To protect her alpha at all costs.
BOGGART: losing her family/pack
Loyal – Without the trust or support of her family (the members who are now dead), Zeva turned to Jace. She supported him when his own kinsmen decided he needed to be taken out, and followed him around like a shadow. Though they see eye-to-eye most of the time, she’ll be his voice of reason and shut him down if she thinks he’s making a bad decision, but for the most part she understands his judgments and calls, and continues to follow him with an extreme level of trust.
Fierce – Shadow wasn’t just given the right to become the Beta for the Lucky 7. She earned it. There was quite a bit of arguing (and fighting, lots of fighting) over who would fall into the role of the right hand. She happened to be the victor. Needless to say, she doesn’t back down if she sets her sights on something, and if anyone wants to get in her way, she will tear them down.
Authoritative – Leadership is a key aspect of any pack, and when Jace is not available, she will step up to the podium to delegate. Not too many of the pack come to argue with her, but when they do, she’ll put them in their place.
Advisor – Whenever the pack need help, mostly Jace but even the others, they come to her. She speaks only when necessary, but doesn’t hesitate to offer advice if it is requested of her.
Quiet – As listed above, she is efficient with her words. Zeva is the one who loves to stick to the shadows, and is generally the one who will be standing there with her arms folded in the background, without so much as a word. But don’t take that for granted…if you’ve pleased her or pissed her off, you’ll know it.
Peaceful – The beautiful part about the relationship between an Alpha and Beta is balance. Though a vengeful child and teenager, she learned to channel her energy into something a lot lighter which became a great balance for Jace. She does have a tendency to lash out if she feels her Alpha or the pack is threatened but for the most part she is quite the peaceful member of the bunch.
Father: Leonard Brice Reid, aged 60. Pureblood. Black Spiral Dancer. Inside Straight Pack.
Brother: Silas Rian Reid aged 42. Pureblood. Black Spiral Dancer. Unknown.
Half-Brother: Cain Donovan Samuels, aged 34. Half-Blood. Garou/Wizard. Unknown.
Zeva doesn’t like to talk about her past but from what she has revealed, it is clear she did not have a fun upbringing. She was born a Black Spiral Dancer as the youngest in her family from her original pack, the Inside Straight. She had a twin sister, Rhea. When they were young, they got along quite well, until about age seven when her parents put decided to test to see if they could prove themselves worthy early on. Rhea killed her target with ease and completed her assignment in record time, but Zeva could not and that instantly sparked their rivalry that would unfold over the years to come. From there, the girls competed for their parent’s approval, even though it was almost a shutout.
Zeva was highly skilled, but Rhea was always a better hunter, tracker, fighter. Zeva hated that. By sixteen, Rhea was married off to Darian Breck, leaving Zeva, once again, a step behind. It’s a little poetic, that part of the reason why she’d earned that name was by living in the shadow of her sister. It was around this time she separated herself from her family and happened upon Jace Bryden. She knew of him growing up, the nephew of the Alpha MacTavish. Jace was a Firestarter of sorts—a garou with all rage and no off-button, in a manner of speaking. Zeva even had a fight or two with him before, but nothing serious. After the exile of her brother Silas and the constant condemnation from her parents for not being as good as Rhea, Zeva almost desperately needed someone to look up to, so she followed Jace around quite often, first seen as a nuisance and later becoming his good friend. Because of this, and her loyalty, Jace confirmed her name “Shadow”.
It wouldn’t be until years later that she would find herself free of the inferior complex hell when she ripped out the hearts of Rhea and Darian. However, before she killed her mother and the mercy she left her injured father alive (a mercy she later regretted but also due to timing and the need for her to run to help Jace was imminent)—Zeva found out that he had a son, a bastard named Cain, with a human witch. These events ran concurrent with her assistance to Jace to save him from certain death, since he was the outcast and doomed for execution. When he was declared the Alpha of their new pack, she swore she would never leave his side.
Over the years, the seven have ran together successfully. They targeted various contracts to make ends meet and they grew together as a family.
Most recently, Jace made a deal with Former Minister Fierro Darque. As much as she didn’t agree to align the pack with a dying, if not dead, organization, she trusted her Alpha’s decision to guide the pack toward a new opportunity. She found it odd and uncomfortable at first to be around so many human magic users, but it was a nice compromise for a constant roof over her head and protection for their territory off base.
-Shadow prefers that she not be called by her birth name but she doesn’t mind it as long as it’s from people she trusts. She may also be called Z or Zev at times.
-Jace’s recent acquisition of the pack lackey Stana Chastaine was an interesting play, and she is willing to train the girl as long as she knows her place.
Lucky 7 is a rogue mercenary Black Spiral pack that takes jobs and contracts on a whim based on who is willing to pay the most. It doesn't matter if it's wizards, humans, or other Garou paying the contracts, all that matters is the thrill of the hunt and how much coin is on the table.
The pack itself only consists of 7 Spirals, each as ruthless as the alpha that leads them. They are well known in the right circles and have a reputation based on violence and out right savagery. It's safe to say that no one willingly wants to cross paths with the 7. (From Jace Bryden’s bio)
